Interface for mounting interchangable components

A set of modular connection components, comprising:

• a first modular connection component;
• and
• at least a second modular connection component;
• wherein:
• the second modular connection component is configured to be reversibly secured to the first modular connection component at an attachment interface to form a modular structure;
• the first and second modular connection components each have at least one interface element;
• the at least one interface element of the first modular connection component is configured to be aligned with and face the at least one interface element of the second modular connection component to form at least one interface connection element;
• and
• the at least one interface connection element is adapted to receive at least two channel engagement arms extending from members of an x-shaped body of a connection interface component to thereby reversibly secure the first and second modular connection components together at the attachment interface, the at least two channel engagement arms being parallel to one another and nonparallel to the members of the x-shaped body.

An interface for mounting variable brackets forming a shared cantilever channel, comprising:

• a connection interface component comprising a plurality of engagement arms extending from members of an x-shaped body, the plurality of channel engagement arms being parallel to one another and nonparallel to the members of the x-shaped body;
• and
• a plurality of components attached at an interface, the plurality of components including at least a first component and a second component, wherein:
• the first component comprises an interface channel configured to be aligned with and face a corresponding interface channel of the second component at an attachment interface;
• the interface channel is configured to receive at least one channel engagement arm extending from the members of the x-shaped body of the connection interface component and the corresponding interface channel is configured to receive at least another channel engagement arm extending from the members of the x-shaped body of the connection interface to reversibly secure the first component to the second component at the attachment interface when the interface channel aligns with and faces the corresponding interface channel;
• and
• the first component comprises a cantilever channel recess configured to be aligned with and face a corresponding cantilever channel recess of the second component;
• wherein:
• the cantilever channel recess shares a channel wall with the interface channel of the first component and the corresponding cantilever channel recess shares a channel wall with the corresponding interface channel of the second component, and
• the cantilever channel recess of the first component and the cantilever channel recess of the second component combine to form a cantilever channel when the first component and second component are reversibly secured at the attachment interface.

An attachment interface for mounting interchangeable modular components comprising:

• opposing first and second c-shaped interface channels of a first component configured to be aligned with corresponding opposing first and second c-shaped interface channels of a second component;
• wherein:
• the aligned c-shaped interface channels form first and second attachment interface channels that face one another, wherein:
• the first attachment interface channel is configured to receive at least three channel engagement arms extending from members of an x-shaped body of a connection interface component, the at least three channel engagement arms being parallel to one another and nonparallel to the members of the x-shaped body, and
• the second attachment interface channel is configured to receive at least three separate channel engagement arms extending from separate members of a separate x-shaped body of a separate connection interface component, the at least three separate channel engagement arms being parallel to one another and nonparallel to the separate members of the separate x-shaped body, the connection interface component and the separate connection interface component being adapted for reversibly securing the first and second components together;
• and
• a cantilever channel recess of the first component and a cantilever channel recess of the second component align and form a cantilever channel when the aligned c-shaped interface channels form the first and second attachment interface channels and the connection interface component reversibly secures the first and second components together.
