Abstract
A method and system for effecting changes on a mobile device. The method includes determining a physical location of a point of interest. The method includes automatically generating a geofence proximate to the point of interest based on the determined physical location. The method includes detecting when the mobile device enters the geofence. The method includes tracking a duration of time spent within the geofence by the mobile device. The method also includes effecting a change on the mobile device based on the duration of time spent within the geofence by the mobile device.
Claims19
A method, comprising:
- determining, by a computing system, a physical location of a point of interest;
- automatically, by the computing system, generating a geofence proximate to the point of interest based on the determined physical location;
- detecting, by the computing system, when a mobile device enters the geofence;
- tracking, by the computing system, a duration of time spent within the geofence by the mobile device;
- determining, by the computing system, a location history of the mobile device;
- and
- causing, by the computing system based on the tracked duration of time and the determined location history, the mobile device to display a notification.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium having instructions stored thereon that are executable by a computing system to perform operations comprising:
- determining a physical location of a point of interest;
- automatically generating a geofence proximate to the point of interest based on the determined physical location;
- detecting when a mobile device enters the geofence;
- tracking a duration of time spent within the geofence by the mobile device;
- determining a location history of the mobile device;
- and
- causing, based on the tracked duration of time and the determined location history, the mobile device to display a notification.
A system, comprising:
- at least one processor;
- a non-transitory, computer-readable medium having instructions stored thereon that are executable by the at least one processor to cause the system to:
- determine a physical location of a point of interest;
- automatically generate a geofence proximate to the point of interest based on the determined physical location;
- detect when a mobile device enters the geofence;
- track a duration of time spent within the geofence by the mobile device;
- determine a location history of the mobile device;
- and
- cause, based on the tracked duration of time and the determined location history, the mobile device to display a notification.
