Multicast (P2MP) support for path computation element central controller (PCECC)

A communication method, implemented by a path computation client (PCC), wherein the PCC operates as a branch node along a point-to-multipoint label switch paths (P2MP LSPs), the method comprises:

• receiving one packet containing an object, wherein the object comprises at least two outgoing labels;
• obtaining a first outgoing label of the at least two outgoing labels, wherein the first outgoing label is associated with node information of a first next hop node of the branch node along the P2MP LSPs;
• and
• obtaining a second outgoing label of the at least two outgoing labels, wherein the second outgoing label is associated with node information of a second next hop node of the branch node along the P2MP LSPs.

A path computation element central controller (PCECC), comprising:

• a non-transitory memory comprising programs;
• and
• a processor coupled to the processor, wherein the processor is configured to execute the programs to:
• generate a packet containing an object, wherein the object comprises at least two outgoing labels, wherein the at least two outgoing labels comprises a first outgoing label and a second outgoing label, the first outgoing label being associated with node information of a first next hop node of a branch node along a point-to-multipoint label switch paths (P2MP LSPs), and the second outgoing label being associated with node information of a second next hop node of the branch node;
• and
• send the packet to the branch node.
