Abstract
The present invention relates to novel light-emitting materials. These materials comprise a non-aromatic spiro polycyclic group. This new side chain could reduce the stacking of the light-emitting materials and result in high PLQY.
Claims19
A composition comprising a first compound;
- wherein the first compound is capable of functioning as a fluorescent emitter in an organic light emitting device at room temperature;
- wherein the first compound has at least one aromatic ring and at least one substituent R;
- wherein each of the at least one R has the formula of
- wherein each of the at least one R is directly bonded to the at least one aromatic ring;
- wherein G′ is selected from the group consisting of:
- a direct bond, NR′, SiR′R″, GeR′R″, unsubstituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, and combinations thereof;
- G2 is a spiro polycyclic alkyl group optionally substituted with one or more substituents selected from the group consisting of deuterium, halogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, heteroalkyl, arylalkyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, amino, cyclic amino, silyl, alkenyl, cycloalkenyl, heteroalkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, heteroaryl, acyl, carbonyl, carboxylic acid, ether, ester, nitrile, isonitrile, sulfanyl, sulfinyl, sulfonyl, phosphino, and combinations thereof;
