A capacitor comprising:
- a conductive porous base material having a porous portion with a plurality of pores;
- a dielectric layer on the conductive porous base material and extending into the plurality of pores;
- an upper electrode on the dielectric layer and extending into at least some of the plurality of pores;
- and
- an insulating material on the upper electrode and extending into the at least some of the plurality of pores along with the upper electrode.
