Image sensor with inside biometric authentication and storage

An image processing system comprising:

• an image sensor including:
• a first processor inside the image sensor;
• and
• circuitry configured to function as:
• a biometric information acquisition unit that acquires biometric information;
• a storage unit that stores reference information to be compared with the biometric information;
• a biometric authentication unit that performs, via the first processor inside the image sensor, biometric authentication by comparing the biometric information with the reference information without outputting the biometric information outside the image sensor unless the outputting of the biometric information outside the image sensor is selected;
• an encryption processing unit that encrypts biometric authentication information that authenticates a living organism;
• and
• an encrypted information output unit that outputs encrypted information obtained by encrypting the biometric authentication information;
• and
• a second processor outside the image sensor, wherein the second processor is configured to perform processing in accordance with the encrypted information output from the image sensor.
