Abstract
A computer implemented method for detecting errors in data includes obtaining one or more graph functional dependency (GFD) rules comprising a set of GFD rules, obtaining a set of GFDs representative of the data, building a canonical graph for the GFD rules, and determining that one or more GFD of the set of GFDs conflict based on the set of GFD rules and the canonical graph and, based thereon, determining an error in the set of GFDs.
Claims20
A computer implemented method for detecting errors in data comprising:
- obtaining a set of graph functional dependency (GFD) rules;
- obtaining a set of GFDs representative of the data, each GFD comprising a graph pattern to identify entities in a graph and an attribute dependency applied to the entities;
- building a canonical graph for the set of GFDs, the canonical graph defined by a union of graph patterns that are pairwise disjoint;
- determining that one or more GFDs of the set of GFDs conflict with each other based on the set of GFD rules and the canonical graph;
- and
- determining an error in the set of GFDs based on the determining that the one or more GFDs conflict.
A device comprising:
- a memory storage comprising instructions;
- and
- one or more processors in communication with the memory, wherein the one or more processors execute the instructions to:
- obtain a set of graph functional dependency (GFD) rules;
- obtain a set of GFDs representative of data, each GFD comprising a graph pattern to identify entities in a graph and an attribute dependency applied to the entities;
- build a canonical graph for the set of GFDs, the canonical graph defined by a union of graph patterns that are pairwise disjoint;
- determine that one or more GFDs of the set of GFDs conflict based on the GFD rules and the canonical graph;
- and
- determine an error in the set of GFDs based on the determining the one or more GFDs conflict.
A computer-readable media storing computer instructions for detecting errors in data, that when executed by one or more processors cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
- obtaining a set of graph functional dependency (GFD) rules;
- obtaining a set of GFDs representative of the data, each GFD comprising a graph pattern to identify entities in a graph and an attribute dependency applied to the entities;
- building a canonical graph for the set of GFDs, the canonical graph defined by a union of graph patterns that are pairwise disjoint;
- determining that one or more GFDs of the set of GFDs conflict based on the set of GFD rules and the canonical graph;
- and
- determining an error in the set of GFDs based on the determining the one or more GFDs conflict.
