## Abstract

A display device including a housing including sidewalls and mounting surfaces at upper ends of the sidewalls; a display panel housed in the housing; and a cover window on the display panel, wherein the cover window includes an upper surface that faces outwardly in a direction in which light is emitted, a lower surface opposite to the upper surface, the lower surface being narrower than the upper surface, and side surfaces that slope inwardly from ends of the upper surface to ends of the lower surface, the side surfaces being at least partially bent, and wherein the side surfaces of the cover window are mounted on the mounting surfaces of the housing.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A display device, comprising:
a housing that comprises sidewalls and mounting surfaces at upper ends of the sidewalls;
a display panel housed in the housing; and
a cover window on the display panel,
wherein the cover window includes:
an upper surface that faces outwardly in a direction in which light is emitted,
a lower surface opposite to the upper surface, the lower surface being narrower than the upper surface, and
side surfaces that slope inwardly from ends of the upper surface to ends of the lower surface, wherein
the side surfaces of the cover window are mounted on the mounting surfaces of the housing, and
each of the side surfaces of the cover window includes at least two flat surfaces not parallel to each other with each of the at least two flat surfaces making contact with the mounting surfaces.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The display device as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a polarizing plate between the display panel and the cover window.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein a thickness of the cover window increases from an outer side thereof toward an interior thereof.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The display device as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a first adhesive layer between the cover window and the display panel.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The display device as claimed in claim 4, wherein the first adhesive layer includes an optically clear adhesive.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The display device as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a cushion member between a lower surface of the display panel and an inner surface of the housing.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mounting surfaces complement the side surfaces.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The display device as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a second adhesive layer between the mounting surfaces and the side surfaces.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mounting surfaces of the housing have a shape corresponding to a shape of the side surfaces of the cover window, and
wherein the mounting surfaces of the housing are disposed in a non-display area.

### Claim 10

A display device, comprising:
a housing that comprises sidewalls and mounting surfaces at upper ends of the sidewalls, each mounting surface of the housing including at least two flat surfaces not parallel to each other;
a display panel housed in the housing; and
a cover window on the display panel,
wherein the cover window includes:
an upper surface that faces outwardly in a direction in which light is emitted,
a lower surface opposite to the upper surface, the lower surface being narrower than the upper surface, and
side surfaces that slope inwardly from ends of the upper surface to ends of the lower surface, each side surface of the cover window including at least two flat surfaces not parallel to each other that conform to a shape of the mounting surface of the housing, wherein
the side surfaces of the cover window are mounted on the mounting surfaces of the housing.
