## Abstract

Methods and devices for the repair of a ruptured ligament using a scaffold device are provided. Aspects of the invention, may include a scaffold attached by a suture to an anchor. In aspects of the invention, the anchor may be secured to a bone near or at the repair site.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method of repairing a ruptured ligament, comprising:
attaching a suture to a first bone;
connecting the suture to a first ruptured end of a ligament or tendon, the first ruptured end of the ligament or tendon connected to a second bone; and
positioning a scaffold along the suture between the first bone and the first ruptured end of the ligament or tendon.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
drilling a hole in a second bone; and
connecting a second suture to the second bone with a second device.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the first bone is one of a femur or a tibia and the second bone is the other of the femur or the tibia.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising attaching a first device only indirectly to the scaffold.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising treating the scaffold with a repair material.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The method of claim 5, wherein the repair material is a platelet or plasma.
