Abstract
Disclosed are catalytically active water-insoluble protein aggregates comprising fusion proteins which comprise a coiled-coil domain and a catalytic domain, methods of manufacturing such protein aggregates, and their use.
Claims11
A water-insoluble protein aggregate comprising a fusion protein, wherein said fusion protein comprises a coiled-coil domain and a catalytic domain, said water-insoluble protein aggregate possesses catalytic activity and the fusion protein is aggregated in an inclusion body, wherein the coiled-coil domain is encoded by a nucleotide sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO:
- 2 and SEQ ID NO:
- 4, or nucleotide sequences having at least 80% sequence identity to said nucleotide sequences, and wherein said nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 2 or SEQ ID NO:
- 4 encodes the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1 or SEQ ID NO:3, respectively.
