Abstract
A use of an inhibitor of the cytochrome bc1 complex for preparing a pharmaceutical composition which treats diseases related to smooth muscle spasms, inflammatory diseases, and relieves pain.
Claims6
A method of treating a smooth muscle spasm-related disease in a subject, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of an inhibitor of the cytochrome bc1 complex to the subject, wherein the inhibitor of the cytochrome bc1 complex is atovaquone or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and wherein the smooth muscle spasm-related disease is dysmenorrhea.
