Abstract
There is disclosed a method in a first net work node (120A) operating in a split bearer environment, the first network node (120A) being communicatively connected with a second network node (120B) via an internode interface (135A, 135B). The method comprises obtaining, by the first network node (120A), expected queuing times of packet data convergence protocol, PDCP, packet data units, PDUs at the first network node (120A) and at the second network node (120B). The method comprises determining, by the first network node (120A) and according to the estimated expected queuing times, forwarding of a flow of PDCP PDUs destined for a User Equipment, UE, (100).

A method performed by a first network node operating in a split bearer environment, the first network node being communicatively connected with a second network node via an internode interface, the method comprising the steps of:
- receiving one or more Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) Packet Data Units (PDUs) destined for a User Equipment (UE) and which may be forwarded to the UE by wireless transmission from the first network node or which may be forwarded by the first network node to the second network node for wireless transmission by the second network node to the UE;
- obtaining an expected queuing t time of PDCP PDUs at the first network node and an expected queuing time of PDCP PDUs at the second network node, the expected queuing time of PDCP PDUs at each of the first and second network nodes representing an expected time to be spent by a PDCP PDU waiting in a queue at the respective network node for wireless transmission to the UE;
- and
- determining forwarding of a flow of PDCP PDUs destined for the UE, based on the expected queuing time of PDCP PDUs at the first network node and based on the expected queuing time of PDCP PDUs at the second network node.
A first network node configured for operation in a split bearer environment, the first network node being configured for a communication with a second network node via an internode interface, the first network node comprising a wireless interface, an internode interface, a memory, and processing circuitry, wherein the processing circuitry is configured to cause the first network node to:
- receive one or more Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) Packet Data Units (PDUs) destined for a User Equipment (UE) and which may be forwarded to the UE by wireless transmission from the first network node or which may be forwarded by the first network node to the second network node for wireless transmission by the second network node to the UE;
- obtain an expected queuing t time of PDCP PDUs at the first network node and an expected queuing time of PDCP PDUs at the second network node, the expected queuing time of PDCP PDUs at each of the first and second network nodes representing an expected time to be spent by a PDCP PDU waiting in a queue at the respective network node for wireless transmission to the UE;
- and
- determine forwarding of a flow of PDCP PDUs destined for the UE, based on the expected queuing time of PDCP PDUs at the first network node and based on the expected queuing time of PDCP PDUs at the second network node.
