Abstract
In some implementations, an utterance that requests a voice call is received, the utterance is classified as spoken by a particular known user, in response to classifying the utterance as spoken by the particular known user, a recipient voice number to call is determined based on contacts for the particular known user, and the voice call to the recipient voice number is initiated.
Claims19
A system comprising:
- one or more computers and one or more storage devices storing instructions that are operable, when executed by the one or more computers, to cause the one or more computers to perform operations comprising:
- receiving, by a digital assistant device that is configured to process utterances of multiple different users, an utterance from a call-placing user that requests that the digital assistant device initiate a voice call to a callee user that is also identified by the utterance;
- identifying, by the digital assistant device, the call-placing user from among the multiple different users, based at least on the utterance;
- in response to identifying the call-placing user, determining, by the digital assistant device, that a voice number that is associated with a different device of the call-placing user is available to the digital assistant device;
- determining a recipient voice number to call based on the callee user that is identified by the utterance;
- and
- initiating, by the digital assistant device, the voice call to the recipient voice number, wherein the voice call to the recipient voice number indicates the voice number that is associated with the different device as an origin of the voice call instead of a voice number associated with the digital assistant device.
A computer-implemented method comprising:
- receiving, by a digital assistant device that is configured to process utterances of multiple different users, an utterance from a call-placing user that requests that the digital assistant device initiate a voice call to a callee user that is also identified by the utterance;
- identifying, by the digital assistant device, the call-placing user from among the multiple different users, based at least on the utterance;
- in response to identifying the call-placing user, determining, by the digital assistant device, that a voice number that is associated with a different device of the call-placing user is available to the digital assistant device;
- determining a recipient voice number to call based on the callee user that is identified by the utterance;
- and
- initiating, by the digital assistant device, the voice call to the recipient voice number, wherein the voice call to the recipient voice number indicates the voice number that is associated with the different device as an origin of the voice call instead of a voice number associated with the digital assistant device.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing software comprising instructions executable by one or more computers which, upon such execution, cause the one or more computers to perform operations comprising:
- receiving, by a digital assistant device that is configured to process utterances of multiple different users, an utterance from a call-placing user that requests that the digital assistant device initiate a voice call to a callee user that is also identified by the utterance;
- identifying, by the digital assistant device, the call-placing user from among the multiple different users, based at least on the utterance;
- in response to identifying the call-placing user, determining, by the digital assistant device, that a voice number that is associated with a different device of the call-placing user is available to the digital assistant device;
- determining a recipient voice number to call based on the callee user that is identified by the utterance;
- and
- initiating, by the digital assistant device, the voice call to the recipient voice number wherein the voice call to the recipient voice number indicates the voice number that is associated with the different device as an origin of the voice call instead of a voice number associated with the digital assistant device.
