Synchronization of data between local and remote computing environment buffers

A method, comprising:

• determining, by a computing system, that first data was copied to a first buffer of a first operating system;
• and
• in response to the first data being copied to the first buffer and prior to receiving a request to paste the first data copied to the first buffer to another application:
• evaluating, by the computing system, the first data to determine whether the first data includes potentially private information,
• determining, by the computing system, that the first data is free of potentially private information, and
• causing the first data to be transferred from the first buffer to a second buffer of a second operating system based at least in part on the first data being free of potentially private information.

A computing system, comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• at least one computer-readable medium encoded with instructions which, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the computing system to:
• determine that first data was copied from a first application in a first computing environment to a first buffer of the first computing environment,
• determine that the first data was received by a second application in a second computing environment, the second computing environment being remote from the first computing environment,
• identify second data copied from the first application to the first buffer,
• evaluate the second data to determine whether the second data includes potentially private information,
• determine that the second data is free of potentially private information, and
• in response to the second data being copied from the first application to the first buffer and prior to receiving a request to paste the second data copied to the first buffer to another application, cause the second data to be transferred from the first buffer to a second buffer of the second computing environment based at least in part on the second application having received the first data and the second data being free of potentially private information.
