Abstract
Methods and reagents for blocking non-specific interactions with nucleic acids are disclosed. In particular, the invention relates to multi-valent blockers comprising multiple negatively charged polymers or materials attached to a common scaffold and their use in blocking non-specific interactions with nucleic acids.
Claims17
A composition comprising a multivalent blocker, which comprises:
- at least two nucleic acids linked to a non-protein scaffold;
- wherein the multivalent blocker binds to positively charged compounds or materials in a sample, and wherein at least one nucleic acid comprises a nucleotide sequence having at least 95, 96, 97, 98, or 99% sequence identity to the sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 1.
