Abstract
A pressure-sensitive adhesive tape comprises a backing layer having a first and a second surface; and a first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer affixed to the first surface; wherein the first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has an adhesive strength of 2.0 N/10 mm to 9.0 N/10 mm in absence of a solvent and the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape has a tensile strength in longitudinal direction of 45 N/15 mm to 80 N/15 mm.
Claims28
A pressure-sensitive adhesive tape comprising
- a backing layer having a first and a second surface;
- and
- a first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer affixed to the first surface;
- a second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer affixed to the second surface;
- wherein:
- the first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has an adhesive strength of 2.0 N/10 mm to 9.0 N/10 mm in absence of a solvent,
- the second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has an adhesive strength of 2.0 N/10 mm to 8.0 N/10 mm in absence of the solvent, and
- when a 10 mm×80 mm area of the first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is wetted by three drops of the solvent, the adhesive strength of the first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has a difference of 1% to 20% from the adhesive strength of the first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer in the absence of the solvent, and when a 10 mm×80 mm area of the second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is wetted by three drops of the solvent, the adhesive strength of the second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has a difference of 1% to 20% from the adhesive strength of the second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer in the absence of the solvent, the solvent being a water-based solvent or an emulsion-based solvent;
- and
- the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape has a tensile strength in longitudinal direction of 45 N/15 mm to 80 N/15 mm.
