Abstract
A disposable absorbent hygiene product is provided, including a main part having a body facing surface intended to face the body of a user and a garment facing surface intended to face away from the body of a user. The main part includes a liquid permeable topsheet at the body facing surface, a liquid impermeable backsheet at the garment facing surface, and an absorbent assembly arranged between said topsheet and said backsheet. The absorbent assembly includes a first absorbent core and a second absorbent core arranged in a stacked relationship.
Claims17
A disposable absorbent hygiene product comprising:
- a main part having a body facing surface intended to face a body of a user and a garment facing surface intended to face away from the body of a user,
- the main part comprising a liquid permeable topsheet at the body facing surface, a liquid impermeable backsheet at the garment facing surface, and an absorbent assembly arranged between said topsheet and said backsheet, said main part having a having a front end and a back end and defining a longitudinal direction from said front end towards said back end and defining a transversal direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction,
- wherein the absorbent assembly includes a first absorbent core and a second absorbent core arranged in a stacked relationship,
- wherein said first absorbent core has a longitudinal length of from 500 to 1000 mm and a transversal width of from 200 to 450 mm and comprises cellulosic fibers mixed with super absorbent particles, having a super absorbent particle concentration of from 0 to 30 wt %, and a cellulosic fiber basis weight of from 50 to 200 g/m2;
- wherein said second absorbent core has a longitudinal length of from 20% to 80% of the longitudinal length of said first core and comprises a mixture of cellulosic fibers and super absorbent particles, with a super absorbent particle concentration of from 20 to 70 wt %, and a cellulosic fiber basis weight of from 250 to 500 g/m2;
- wherein longitudinal ends of the second core are located between longitudinal ends of the first core;
- and
- wherein said second absorbent core is positioned between said first absorbent core and said backsheet such that the first absorbent core, which defines a longest longitudinal length of the first and second absorbent cores and a smallest super absorbent particle concentration of the first and second absorbent cores, is located closer to the topsheet than the second absorbent core.
