## Abstract

A camera mount comprising: a sliding mount component comprising: a sliding base; protrusions protruding outward from a bottom surface of the sliding base; and a sliding mount component locking mechanism; and a rail mount component comprising: a rail base; and a rail mount component locking mechanism; wherein the sliding mount component is configured for insertion into the rail mount component, and wherein the sliding mount component is connected to the rail mount component by the sliding mount component locking mechanism forming a connection with the rail mount component locking mechanism.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A camera mount comprising:
a sliding mount component comprising:
a sliding base;
protrusions protruding outward from a bottom surface of the sliding base; and
a sliding mount component locking mechanism; and
a rail mount component comprising:
a rail base; and
a rail mount component locking mechanism;
wherein the sliding mount component is configured for insertion into the rail mount component; and
wherein the sliding mount component is connected to the rail mount component by the sliding mount component locking mechanism forming a connection with the rail mount component locking mechanism.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The camera mount of claim 1, wherein the protrusions are configured to interlock with a reciprocal mount component of a lower mount component.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The camera mount of claim 2, wherein the protrusions include protrusion holes.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The camera mount of claim 3, wherein the protrusion holes are substantially aligned to receive a pin or screw to secure the sliding mount component to the reciprocal mount component of a lower mount component.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The camera mount of claim 1, wherein the sliding mount component locking mechanism extends through the sliding base and into the rail mount component locking mechanism to connect the sliding mount component and the rail mount component.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The camera mount of claim 1, wherein the sliding mount component includes a stopper component that prevents the sliding mount component from moving past the rail mount component.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The camera mount of claim 1, wherein the rail mount component includes a stopper.

### Claim 8

A sliding mount component for insertion into a rail mount component, the sliding mount component comprising:
a sliding base having:
a first end;
second end opposite the first end; and
a bottom surface between the first end and the second end;
protrusions extending from the bottom surface, the protrusions including protrusion holes that are substantially aligned so that the sliding base can be coupled to a lower mount component; and
a sliding mount component locking mechanism.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The sliding mount component of claim 8, wherein the protrusions are configured to interlock with protrusions of a reciprocal mount component of the lower mount component.

### Claim 10 (depends on 8)

The sliding mount component of claim 8, wherein the protrusions are two protrusions.

### Claim 11 (depends on 8)

The sliding mount component of claim 8, wherein the protrusion holes are configured to align with holes in protrusions in a camera housing.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

The sliding mount component of claim 11, wherein the protrusion holes and the holes receive a screw or a pin to connect the sliding mount component and a camera housing.

### Claim 13 (depends on 8)

The sliding mount component of claim 8, wherein the protrusion holes are configured to align with holes in protrusions in a reciprocal mount component of the lower mount component.

### Claim 14 (depends on 8)

The sliding mount component of claim 8, wherein the sliding base is configured to align with a locking hole in the rail mount component so that a pin connects the sliding base to the rail mount component.

### Claim 15

A sliding mount component that connects to a rail mount component of a camera, the sliding mount component comprising:
a sliding base configured to be retained on a rail base of the rail mount component, wherein the sliding base comprises:
protrusions extending from the sliding base; and
divots located in a top surface of the sliding base, wherein the divots correspond to a feature of the rail mount component to lock together the rail mount component and the sliding mount component.

### Claim 16 (depends on 15)

The sliding mount component of claim 15, wherein the divots are located on opposing ends of the sliding base.

### Claim 17 (depends on 15)

The sliding mount component of claim 15, wherein the protrusions are located on a bottom surface of the sliding base so that the protrusions and the divots are located on opposite sides of the sliding base.

### Claim 18 (depends on 15)

The sliding mount component of claim 15, wherein a pin extends outwardly from the sliding base at a location proximate to the divots.

### Claim 19 (depends on 15)

The sliding mount component of claim 15, wherein the sliding base has a length and the protrusions include protrusion holes that substantially align along an axis and the axis of the protrusion holes extends along the length of the sliding base.

### Claim 20 (depends on 19)

The sliding mount component of claim 19, wherein the protrusions have a round periphery so that the protrusions are rotatable about the axis when the protrusions are in communication with a reciprocal mount of a lower mount or a camera mount.
