In one embodiment the device comprises a flexible shaft having a proximal and distal end; a rod having a proximal and distal end, the rod positioned within the flexible shaft; and a tip coupled to the distal end of the rod by a living hinge. Pressure applied between the proximal and distal end of the flexible shaft bends the living hinge which rotates the tip from a first position to a second position. ## Claims ### Claim 1 A device for retrieving and applying product from within a container, the device comprising: a flexible shaft having a proximal and distal end; a deformable rod having a proximal and distal end, the deformable rod positioned within a flexible portion of the flexible shaft; and a tip coupled to the distal end of the rod by a living hinge; wherein pressure applied between the proximal and distal end of the flexible shaft deforms the deformable rod and bends the living hinge which rotates the tip from a first position to a second position. ### Claim 2 (depends on 1) The device according to claim 1, wherein the second position of the tip is about a 90 degree angle from the first position. ### Claim 3 (depends on 1) The device according to claim 1, wherein the tip comprises a sponge covering. ### Claim 4 (depends on 1) The device according to claim 1, wherein the tip comprises a brush. ### Claim 5 (depends on 1) The device according to claim 1, wherein the tip comprises rubber. ### Claim 6 (depends on 1) The device according to claim 1, wherein the tip comprises plastic. ### Claim 7 (depends on 1) The device according to claim 1, wherein the tip comprises at least a first and second portion, wherein the second portion is removable and replaceable. ### Claim 8 A system, comprising: a container configured for containing a product therein; and a device for retrieving and applying product from within the container, the device comprising: a flexible shaft having a proximal and distal end; a deformable rod having a proximal and distal end, the deformable rod positioned within a flexible portion of the flexible shaft; and a tip coupled to the distal end of the rod by a living hinge; wherein pressure applied between the proximal and distal end of the flexible shaft deforms the deformable rod and bends the living hinge which rotates the tip from a first position to a second position. ### Claim 9 (depends on 8) The system according to claim 8, wherein the second position of the tip is about a 90 degree angle from the first position. ### Claim 10 (depends on 8) The system according to claim 8, wherein the tip comprises at least a first and second portion, wherein the second portion is removable and replaceable. ### Claim 11 (depends on 8) The system according to claim 8, wherein the tip comprises a sponge covering. ### Claim 12 (depends on 8) The system according to claim 8, wherein the tip comprises a removable brush. ### Claim 13 (depends on 8) The system according to claim 8, wherein the tip comprises plastic. ### Claim 14 (depends on 8) The system according to claim 8, further comprising a cap coupled with the proximal end of the flexible shaft. ### Claim 15 A device for retrieving and applying product from within a container, the device comprising: a cap; a flexible shaft having a proximal and distal end, the flexible shaft coupled with the cap at the proximal end; a deformable rod having a proximal and distal end, the deformable rod positioned within a flexible portion of the flexible shaft; and a tip coupled to the distal end of the rod by a living hinge; wherein pressure applied between the proximal and distal end of the flexible shaft deforms the deformable rod and bends the living hinge which rotates the tip from a first position to a second position. ### Claim 16 (depends on 15) The device according to claim 15, wherein the second position of the tip is about a 90 degree angle from the first position. ### Claim 17 (depends on 15) The device according to claim 15, wherein the tip comprises a sponge covering. ### Claim 18 (depends on 15) The device according to claim 15, wherein the tip comprises plastic. ### Claim 19 (depends on 15) The device according to claim 15, wherein the tip comprises rubber. ### Claim 20 (depends on 15) The device according to claim 15, wherein the tip comprises at least a first and second portion, wherein the second portion is removable and replaceable.
