Method and system for providing code cover to OFDM symbols in multiple user system

A transmitter in a multiple user system, comprising:

• a reference sequence generator to generate a reference sequence for each of a plurality of data sequence of each of a plurality of users, wherein each of the reference sequence is denoted as pilots, wherein the pilots are Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) sequences, wherein each of the reference sequence is multiplied with a user specific code cover;
• a time multiplexer to time-multiplex each of the reference sequence with corresponding data sequence, to generate a corresponding multiplexed sequence:
• a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) spread unit to perform a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) on each of the multiplexed sequence to generate a corresponding DFT-spread-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFT-s-OFDM) symbol;
• and
• a post processor to process each of the DFT-s-OFDM symbol tor transmitting over corresponding one or more channels.

A method fix receiving Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) signals in a multiple user system, comprising:

• receiving, by a receiver, an analog time-multiplexed signal from a plurality of users using one or more antennas associated with the receiver;
• converting, by the receiver, the analog time-multiplexed signals into a corresponding digital time-multiplexed signals;
• performing, by the receiver, a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) on the digital time-multiplexed signal to produce corresponding frequency domain time-multiplexed signal;
• mapping, by the receiver, the frequency time-multiplexed signal to one or more sub-carriers for generating corresponding mapped signals;
• performing, by the receiver, Inverse Discrete Fourier Transform (IDFT) on the corresponding mapped signals to generate corresponding time domain mapped signal;
• and
• demultiplexing, by the receiver, the corresponding time domain mapped signals to isolate at least one reference sequence from at least one data sequence, wherein the at least one reference sequence is denoted as pilots, wherein the pilots are Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) sequences, wherein the at least one reference sequence comprises a code cover corresponding to each of the plurality of users.

A receiver comprising:

• an Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) to:
• receive an analog time-multiplexed signal from a plurality of users, using one or more antennas associated with the receiver;
• and
• convert the analog time-multiplexed signals into a corresponding digital time multiplexed signals;
• a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) unit to perform a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) on
• the digital time-multiplexed signal to produce corresponding frequency domain time multiplexed signal;
• a carrier mapping unit to map the frequency time-multiplexed signal to one or more sub-carriers for generating corresponding mapped signals;
• an Inverse Discrete Fourier Transform (IDFT) unit to perform Inverse Discrete Fourier Transform (IDFT) on the corresponding mapped signals to generate corresponding time domain mapped signal:
• and
• a de-multiplexer to demultiplex the corresponding time domain mapped signals to isolate at least one reference sequence from at least one data sequence, wherein the at least one reference sequence is denoted as pilots, wherein the pilots are Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) sequences, wherein the at least one reference sequence comprises a code cover corresponding to each of the plurality of users.
