Abstract
The present disclosure provides systems and methods for sorting a cell. The system may comprise a flow channel configured to transport a cell through the channel. The system may comprise an imaging device configured to capture an image of the cell from a plurality of different angles as the cell is transported through the flow channel. The system may comprise a processor configured to analyze the image using a deep learning algorithm to enable sorting of the cell.
Claims23
A cell sorting system comprising:
- a flow channel configured to transport a cell through the flow channel, wherein the flow channel is in fluid communication with a plurality of sub-channels via a sorting junction;
- an imaging device configured to capture one or more images of the cell from one or more angles as the cell is transported through the flow channel;
- and
- a processor configured to:
- (1) analyze the one or more images to classify the cell;
- (2) predict an arrival time of the cell at the sorting junction;
- (3) control an adjustment to a velocity of the cell through the flow channel based on the predicted arrival time in (2), so as to modify an actual arrival time of the cell at the sorting junction;
- and
- (4) control sorting of the cell from the flow channel to a selected sub-channel of the plurality of sub-channels based at least in part on the classification of the cell in (1).
