Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a system and process for manufacturing patient personalized pharmaceutical compositions using superimposed revolution and rotation movements for dispersing, milling, melting, and/or de-aerating, where these superimposed revolution and rotation movements can be carried out in a single device in a pharmacy setting.
Claims26
A compounding method, comprising:
- a) placing in a container a suppository or troche containing a gelatin gum base;
- and
- b) melting the suppository or troche containing the gelatin gum base by subjecting the container to superimposed revolution and rotation movements that are sufficient to melt the suppository or troche containing the gelatin gum base, to obtain a pourable liquid.
A compounding method for melting a troche or suppository base, comprising:
- placing in a container pieces of the troche or suppository base, the suppository or troche base containing a gelatin gum base;
- and
- melting the troche or suppository base by subjecting the container to superimposed revolution and rotation movements to cause an elevation in temperature of the troche or the suppository base sufficient for melting the pieces into a pourable liquid.
A compounding method, comprising:
- placing in a container a suppository or troche base containing a gelatin gum base;
- and
- melting the suppository or troche base by subjecting the container to superimposed revolution and rotation movements sufficient to cause a change in temperature in the suppository or troche base of between about 27 and 50 degrees Celsius to obtain a pourable liquid.
