Abstract
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for multiplexing scheduling requests (SRs), for example, using multiple SR resources to indicate different types of traffic (or traffic parameters).
Claims48
A method for wireless communications by a base station, comprising:
- configuring at least one user equipment (UE) with multiple scheduling request (SR) resource configurations associated with different periodicities for the at least one UE to send an SR, wherein each periodicity of the different periodicities indicates how often an SR is sent within a time slot;
- receiving an SR from the at least one UE requesting an uplink grant for sending traffic, the SR being based on one of the configured multiple SR resource configurations;
- and
- inferring at least one parameter of the traffic based on the one of the configured multiple SR resource configurations the at least one UE used to send the SR.
A method for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- selecting a scheduling request (SR) resource configuration, from multiple scheduling request (SR) resource configurations for the UE, for requesting an uplink grant from a base station for sending traffic, the multiple SR resource configurations being associated with different periodicities for the UE to send an SR, wherein the selection is based on a parameter of the traffic, and wherein each periodicity of the different periodicities indicates how often an SR is sent within a time slot;
- and
- sending the SR using the selected SR resource configuration.
An apparatus for wireless communications by a base station, comprising:
- means for configuring at least one user equipment (UE) with multiple scheduling request (SR) resource configurations associated with different periodicities for the at least one UE to send an SR, wherein each periodicity of the different periodicities indicates how often an SR is sent within a time slot;
- means for receiving an SR from the at least one UE requesting an uplink grant for sending traffic, the SR being based on one of the configured multiple SR resource configurations;
- and
- means for inferring at least one parameter of the traffic based on the one of the configured multiple SR resource configurations the at least one UE used to send the SR.
An apparatus for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- means for selecting a scheduling request (SR) resource configuration, from multiple scheduling request (SR) resource configurations for the UE, for requesting an uplink grant from a base station for sending traffic, the multiple SR resource configurations being associated with different periodicities for the UE to send an SR, wherein the selection is based on a parameter of the traffic, and wherein each periodicity of the different periodicities indicates how often an SR is sent within a time slot;
- and
- means for sending the SR using the selected SR resource configuration.
An apparatus for wireless communications, comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- at least one processor coupled with the memory, the memory and at least one processor configured to:
- configure at least one user equipment (UE) with multiple scheduling request (SR) resource configurations associated with different periodicities for the at least one UE to send an SR;
- receive an SR from the at least one UE requesting an uplink grant for sending traffic, the SR being based on one of the configured multiple SR resource configurations, wherein each periodicity of the different periodicities indicates how often an SR is sent within a time slot;
- and
- infer at least one parameter of the traffic based on the one of the configured multiple SR resource configurations the at least one UE used to send the SR.
An apparatus for wireless communications, comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- at least one processor coupled with the memory, the memory and at least one processor configured to:
- select a scheduling request (SR) resource configuration, from multiple scheduling request (SR) resource configurations for the apparatus, for requesting an uplink grant from a base station for sending traffic, the multiple SR resource configurations being associated with different periodicities for the apparatus to send an SR, wherein the selection is based on a parameter of the traffic, and wherein each periodicity of the different periodicities indicates how often an SR is sent within a time slot;
- and
- send the SR using the selected SR resource configuration.
A non-transitory computer readable medium having computer executable code stored thereon for wireless communications, comprising:
- code for configuring at least one user equipment (UE) with multiple scheduling request (SR) resource configurations associated with different periodicities for the at least one UE to send an SR, wherein each periodicity of the different periodicities indicates how often an SR is sent within a time slot;
- code for receiving an SR from the at least one UE requesting an uplink grant for sending traffic, the SR being based on one of the configured multiple SR resource configurations;
- and
- code for inferring at least one parameter of the traffic based on the one of the configured multiple SR resource configurations the at least one UE used to send the SR.
A non-transitory computer readable medium having computer executable code stored thereon for wireless communications, comprising:
- code for selecting a scheduling request (SR) resource configuration, from multiple scheduling request (SR) resource configurations for a user equipment (UE), for requesting an uplink grant from a base station for sending traffic, the multiple SR resource configurations being associated with different periodicities for the UE to send an SR, wherein the selection is based on a parameter of the traffic, and wherein each periodicity of the different periodicities indicates how often an SR is sent within a time slot;
- and
- code for sending the SR using the selected SR resource configuration.
