Abstract
A display device includes a plurality of islands and a bridge connecting the plurality of islands to each other. Each of the plurality of islands includes a flexible substrate, a thin film transistor positioned on a first surface of the flexible substrate, a first electrode connected to the thin film transistor, and a protective mask positioned on a second surface of the flexible substrate.
Claims8
A display device comprising:
- a plurality of islands;
- a plurality of bridges connecting adjacent islands of the plurality of islands to each other;
- and
- an opening between adjacent bridges of the plurality of bridges,
- wherein each of the plurality of islands includes:
- flexible substrate,
- a thin film transistor positioned on a first surface of the flexible substrate,
- a first electrode connected to the thin film transistor,
- a second electrode positioned on the first electrode,
- an encapsulation layer positioned on the first electrode, and
- a protective mask positioned on a second surface of the flexible substrate,
- wherein the protective mask is patterned to comprise a plurality of patterns each corresponding to each of the plurality of islands, and
- wherein the encapsulation layer is patterned to have an edge aligned with an edge of the flexible substrate corresponding to one island of the plurality of islands, and the second electrode is patterned to have an edge aligned with the edge of the encapsulation layer and the edge of the flexible substrate.
