Pressure detectable touch input device including display module

A touch input device capable of detecting a touch position and a touch pressure, wherein the touch input device comprises:

• a touch sensor panel which detects the touch position;
• and
• a display module which is provided under the touch sensor panel,
• wherein the display module comprises a front display module formed on a front side of the touch input device, and a side display module which extends vertically from the front display module at a right angle and formed on a side of the touch input device,
• wherein a pressure detection module comprises at least one pressure electrode disposed under the side display module without being disposed under the front display module, and detects a touch pressure applied to the side of the touch input device,
• wherein the pressure detection module comprises a substrate disposed under the side display module and a spacer layer disposed between the side display module and the substrate,
• wherein the pressure electrode is disposed between the side display module and the substrate, and attached one of the side display module and the substrate,
• wherein, when the touch pressure is applied, the side display module is bent,
• wherein electrical characteristics detected from the pressure electrode of the pressure detection module change according to a bend of the side display module,
• wherein the touch pressure is detected based on a change of electrical characteristics.
