Composed element and corner connection applied herewith

A composed element, wherein the composed element defines a drawer, wherein the drawer comprises at least two side walls and a front panel, which is intended to form a visible front side of the drawer, wherein the front panel is attached directly to the side walls, wherein at least a connection with both side walls respectively is performed by means of a mechanical locking coupling and wherein the front panel forms the sole upright wall which connects the side walls to each other at their forward-directed ends;

• wherein the mechanically locking coupling is formed of profiles in the form of a tongue and groove which comprise locking parts, which counteracts, and prevents, the moving apart of the tongue and groove, wherein the grooves are situated at a rear side of the front panel, whereas the tongues are situated distally on the forward-directed ends of the at least two side walls;
• wherein each tongue cooperates with a groove provided on the front panel;
• wherein said tongue extends distally from an edge of the one of the at least two side walls;
• wherein each tongue defines a split tongue, with a first part and an opposing second part, each longitudinally extending along the edge of the one of the at least two side walls and a slit located therebetween;
• wherein a locking part laterally-protrudes from an outer side of at least said first part, and a corresponding recess is defined in at least one inner side wall of the groove for receiving the locking part, wherein the one of the at least two side walls comprising the tongue has a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, respectively defining first and second planes, the first surface being located on the same side of the one of the at least two side walls as the first part of the split tongue, and the second surface being located on the same side of the one of the at least two side walls as the second part of the split tongue;
• wherein the tongue and groove define a profile such that they can be joined laterally by means of a displacement towards each other or by means of a turning movement;
• and
• wherein the first and second parts compress towards each other, and subsequently expand to lock the locking part with the recess;
• wherein at least one of the outer sides of the tongue and/or the inner side walls of the groove comprises an inclined portion such that when the tongue is inserted into the groove by means of said displacement, the first and second parts compress towards each other, and subsequently expand to lock the locking part within the recess.
