Abstract
Systems and methods of the invention relate to cleaning a portion of a beverage line of a beverage distribution system based upon a signal received from a remote source. An administrative (also referred to as “admin”) system can manage a cleaning system from a remote location in which a remote signal can drive a cleaning system and at least one or more electric valves within the beverage distribution system. A controller component (local to the beverage distribution system) can receive the remote signal from the admin system, wherein a cleaning system (e.g., via a cleaning line) or a dispensing system (e.g., via a hose) can be selected to enable a cleaning mode or a dispensing mode.
Claims20
A system, comprising:
- a beverage line system communicatively coupled to a first network;
- a cleaning system communicatively coupled to the first network;
- and
- a remote administrative system communicatively coupled to a second network, the second network being different than the first network, and the second network being communicatively coupled to the first network,
- wherein the beverage line system comprises:
- a beverage container that stores a portion of beverage;
- a hose having a first portion and a second portion, the first portion coupled to the beverage container;
- a first electric valve coupled in-line between the first portion and the second portion of the hose to selectively allow flow to the second portion from one of the first portion of the hose or a cleaning line coupled to the cleaning system;
- and
- wherein the first electric valve is controlled by a first remote signal from the remote administrative system;
- wherein the cleaning system comprises:
- the cleaning line;
- and
- a cleaning controller that is controlled by a second remote signal from the remote administrative system;
- and
- wherein the remote administrative system comprises:
- a server communicatively coupled to the second network,
- wherein the server controls the operation of the beverage line system and the cleaning system by communicating, to the first network from the second network, the first remote signal to the first electric valve and the second remote signal to the cleaning controller.
A remote administrative system comprising:
- a server that controls the operation of a beverage line system and a cleaning system,
- wherein the beverage line system comprises:
- a beverage container that stores a portion of beverage;
- a hose having a first portion and a second portion, the first portion coupled to the beverage container;
- and
- a first electric valve coupled in-line between the first portion and the second portion of the hose to selectively allow flow to the second portion from one of the first portion of the hose or a cleaning line coupled to the cleaning system;
- and
- the cleaning system comprises:
- the cleaning line;
- and
- a cleaning controller that is controlled by a second remote signal from the server,
- the beverage line system and the cleaning system are each communicatively coupled to a first network,
- the server is communicatively coupled to a second network, the second network being different than the first network, and the second network being communicatively coupled to the first network, and
- the server is configured to control the operation of the beverage line system and the cleaning system by communicating, to the first network from the second network, the first remote signal to the first electric valve and the second remote signal to the cleaning controller.
