Abstract
The present invention relates to the production of eriodictyol via bioconversion.
Claims29
An isolated recombinant host cell transformed with:
- (i) a first nucleic acid comprising a polynucleotide sequence encoding a polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 2;
- and
- (ii) a second nucleic acid comprising a polynucleotide sequence encoding a Flavin reductase polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence that is at least 95% identical to any one of SEQ ID NOs:
- 4, 6, and 8, wherein the flavin reductase directs the bioconversion of naringenin to a hydroxylated flavonoid.
