System and method for testing applications with a load tester and testing translator

A non-transitory computer readable medium including instructions for communicating messages between a testing computer and a server, the messages being received from a client computer in a first format incompatible with the testing computer, the instructions comprising executable code that, when executed by a translator computer, causes the translator computer to perform operations comprising:

• receiving a message in the first format from the client computer;
• performing a first operation and a second operation in parallel, the first operation including:
• forwarding the message in the first format to the server,
• the second operation including:
• converting the message in the first format incompatible with the testing computer to a message in a second format compatible with the testing computer;
• and
• forwarding the message in the second format to the testing computer;
• receiving, from the testing computer, a request in the second format for the server, the request in the second format being received in response to the message in the second format;
• converting the request in the second format compatible with the testing computer to a request in the first format;
• and
• forwarding the request in the first format to the server,
• wherein the translator computer is different from each of the client computer, the server, and the testing computer and is connected to each of the client computer, the server, and the testing computer via a network.

A translator computer for communicating messages between a testing computer and a server, the messages being received from a client computer in a first format incompatible with the testing computer, the translator computer comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory including instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations including:
• receiving a message in the first format from the client computer;
• performing a first operation and a second operation in parallel, the first operation including:
• forwarding the message in the first format to the server,
• the second operation including:
• converting the message in the first format incompatible with the testing computer to a message in a second format compatible with the testing computer;
• and
• forwarding the message in the second format to the testing computer;
• receiving, from the testing computer, a request in the second format for the server, the request in the second format being received in response to the message in the second format;
• converting the request in the second format compatible with the testing computer to a request in the first format;
• and
• forwarding the request in the first format to the server,
• wherein the translator computer is different from each of the client computer, the server, and the testing computer and is connected to each of the client computer, the server, and the testing computer via a network.
