Abstract
A mechanized store implements a first algorithm configured to detect an identity of an item in an image acquired by one or more imaging sensors and implements a second algorithm configured to detect an identity of the item in an image acquired by the one or more imaging sensors. The identity of the item detected using the first algorithm is compared to the identity of the item detected using the second algorithm. The user and/or a store employee can be alerted to a discrepancy.
Claims20
A system for a mechanized store offering an item for sale, the system comprising:
- one or more imaging sensors;
- and
- one or more processors configured to:
- implement a first algorithm configured to detect an identity of the item in an image acquired by the one or more imaging sensors;
- implement a second algorithm configured to detect an identity of the item in an image acquired by the one or more imaging sensors;
- compare the identity of the item detected using the first algorithm to the identity of the item detected using the second algorithm to obtain a result;
- and
- save the result to a record of a user.
A method for operating a mechanized store, the method comprising:
- detecting an identity of an item removed from a display, using a first algorithm, based an image obtained from one or more cameras;
- detecting an identity of the item removed from the display, using a second algorithm, based on an image obtained from the one or more cameras;
- comparing the identity of the item detected using the first algorithm to the identity of the item detected using the second algorithm to obtain a result;
- and
- saving the result to a record of a user.
One or more memory devices comprising instructions that, when executed, cause one or more processors to perform the following steps:
- detecting an identity of an item removed from a display, using a first algorithm, based on an image obtained from one or more cameras;
- detecting an identity of the item removed from the display, using a second algorithm, based on an image obtained from the one or more cameras;
- comparing the identity of the item detected using the first algorithm to the identity of the item detected using the second algorithm to obtain a result;
- and
- saving the result to a record of a user.
