System and method for providing content to a user based on a predicted route identified from audio or images

A method, comprising:

• receiving indirect audible route information from within a vehicle;
• receiving an estimated route of the vehicle based at least in part on the indirect audible route information;
• receiving an image of a display screen of a mobile computing device of a person in the vehicle;
• analyzing the received image to identify route information on the display screen of the mobile computing device;
• determining visual route information commands from the route information;
• updating the estimated route based on the visual route information;
• receiving content to present to a user of the vehicle based on the updated estimated route of the vehicle;
• and
• providing the content to the user.

A computer device, comprising:

• a memory that stores computer instructions;
• and
• a processor that, when executing the computer instructions, causes the computer device to:
• receiving indirect audible route information from within a vehicle;
• identifying an estimated route of the vehicle based at least in part on the indirect audible route information;
• identifying a current route of the vehicle;
• selecting a previous route from a plurality of previous routes that includes a first segment that matches the estimated route and a second segment that matches the estimated route;
• selecting content to present to a user of the vehicle based on the selected previous route without input or interaction from the user;
• and
• providing the content to the user.
