This document provides methods and materials related to assessing immunity to folate receptors. For example, methods and materials for assessing FRα immunity in a mammal are provided. This document also provides methods and materials related to stimulating immunity to folate receptors.

A method for increasing folate receptor α (FRα) immunity in a mammal, said method comprising administering a composition to said mammal under conditions effective to increase said FRα immunity, wherein said composition comprises a polypeptide, wherein the amino acid sequence of said polypeptide is as set forth in SEQ ID NO:2.
