A chip comprising:
- an array of pixels, wherein each pixel comprises:
- an ISFET sensor;
- a sigma delta ADC;
- and
- clocking circuitry;
- wherein the clocking circuitry is configured to provide a first clock signal common to all of the pixels in the array, for sampling the ISFET signal;
- and
- wherein the clocking circuitry is configured to provide a second clock signal sequentially across the array for conversion of the first clock signal.
