Wind tunnel wake generator

A wake-generating system, comprising:

• a wake generator comprising:
• a first frame member comprising a first track formed thereon, the first track having a shape comprising a first side that is rounded and a second side that is flat;
• a mounting plate disposed within a perimeter of the first track, the mounting plate rotatable relative to the first frame member about a first axis;
• and
• a plurality of bars slidably engaged to the mounting plate and structurally configured to transverse along the first track when the mounting plate is rotated about the first axis, where each of the plurality of bars comprises a pivotal connection allowing each of the plurality of bars to pivot about the pivotal connection when traversing along the first track, wherein the plurality of bars are parallel to the track on the second side of the wake generator;
• a motor engaged with the mounting plate, the motor operable to rotate the mounting plate about the first axis;
• and
• a controller comprising a processor and a memory, the processor configured to control one or more of the motor, rotation of the plurality of bars, translation of the plurality of bars, and pivoting of the plurality of bars.
