Composition, film, near infrared cut filter, laminate, pattern forming method, solid image pickup element, image display device, infrared sensor, and color filter

A composition comprising:

• two or more near infrared absorbing compounds having an absorption maximum in a wavelength range of 650 to 1000 nm and having a solubility of 0.1 mass % or lower in water at 23° C.,
• wherein the two or more near infrared absorbing compounds include
• a first near infrared absorbing compound having an absorption maximum in a wavelength range of 650 to 1000 nm, and
• a second near infrared absorbing compound having an absorption maximum in a wavelength range of 650 to 1000 nm which is shorter than the absorption maximum of the first near infrared absorbing compound, and
• a difference between the absorption maximum of the first near infrared absorbing compound and the absorption maximum of the second near infrared absorbing compound is 1 to 150 nm,
• wherein both the first near infrared absorbing compound and the second near infrared absorbing compound are compounds represented by the following Formula (SQ-1),
• in Formula (SQ-1), a ring A and a ring B each independently represent an aromatic ring,
• XA and XB each independently represent a substituent,
• GA and GB each independently represent a substituent,
• kA represents an integer of 0 to nA, and kB represents an integer of 0 to nB,
• nA represents an integer representing the maximum number of GA's which may be substituted in the ring A, and nB represents an integer representing the maximum number of GB's which may be substituted in the ring B,
• XA and GA, or XB and GB may be bonded to each other to form a ring, and in a case where a plurality of GA's and a plurality of GB's are present, GA's or GB's may be bonded to each other to form a ring, and
• wherein Formula (SQ-1) of at least one of the first near infrared absorbing compound or the second near infrared absorbing compound is a compound represented by the following Formula (SQ-A),
• in Formula (SQ-A), R1 and R2 each independently represent an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, or a heteroaryl group,
• R3 and R4 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group,
• X1 and X2 each independently represent an oxygen atom or —N(R5)—,
• R5 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, or a heteroaryl group,
• Y1 to Y4 each independently represent a substituent, and Y1 and Y2 or Y3 and Y4 may be bonded to each other to form a ring,
• in a case where a plurality of Y1's, a plurality of Y2's, a plurality of Y3's, and a plurality of Y4's are present, Y1's, Y2's, Y3's, or Y4's may be bonded to each other to form a ring,
• p and s each independently represent an integer of 0 to 3, and
• q and r each independently represent an integer of 0 to 2.
