Abstract
A multiple sprocket arrangement is mountable to a rear axle arrangement of a bicycle. The multiple sprocket arrangement includes a sprocket assembly having a plurality of sprockets with different numbers of teeth. The sprocket assembly includes a support ring integrated with at least a largest sprocket of the plurality of sprockets. The support ring is firmly connected to the remaining sprockets and has a torque transmitting section.
Claims16
A multiple-sprocket arrangement for mounting on a rear wheel axle arrangement of a bicycle, comprising:
- a sprocket assembly having a plurality of sprockets of different sizes, the sprocket assembly comprising a torque transmitting section configured to interface with a driver and at least two sprockets having a smaller inner diameter than an outer diameter of the driver, and
- an adapter designed to couple the at least two sprockets of the sprocket assembly to the driver, the adapter configured to threadably attach to the driver axially inward of the at least two sprockets,
- wherein the adapter has at least one outer circumferential retaining projection configured to secure the at least two sprockets to the driver.
