## Abstract

An exercise device consisting of two or more flexible elements originating from different locations and connected to a common handle capable of being moved in a variety of directions. Each element also connected to a resistance mechanism and a force measuring device whereby a user interface and microcomputer determine force and direction and enable creation of customized workouts.

## Claims

### Claim 1

An exercise apparatus comprising:
a isokinetic resistive device;
a user engageable grip coupled to said resistive device;
said grip coupled to a first force measuring device for measuring a force applied by a user in a first direction;
said grip coupled to a second force measuring device for measuring a force applied by the user in a second direction;
a processor coupled to said resistive device and said force measuring devices for calculating force and direction; and
a user interface for creation of customized exercise routines.
