## Abstract

Disclosed are methods and compositions useful in preventing or treating a metabolic disorder by using a protein having an amino acid sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 1.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method for attenuating a level of blood glucose, comprising:
administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a protein consisting of the sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the protein is administered subcutaneously, topically, intraneurally, intraperitoneally, intravenously, intramuscularly, intracerebroventricularly or intrathecally.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The method according to claim 2, wherein the protein is administered subcutaneously.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the method is for treating at least one selected from the group consisting of and type II diabetes.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the protein is administered at a dose of 0.01 to 1 mg/kg once or twice a day.
