Production line for the production of medicinal products and production plant comprising such a production line

A method for producing a medicinal product, comprising:

• providing a production plant for the production of medicinal products comprising at least one active ingredient, said production plant comprising a clean room in which the medicinal products are produced, wherein the production plant comprises a production line for the production of said medicinal products comprising at least one active ingredient, the production line comprising an extruder, for producing an extrudate from the active ingredient and at least one excipient to form an encapsulating matrix of the active ingredient, and a cooling member for cooling the extrudate at the outlet of the extruder, the extruder comprising a barrel and at least two parallel screws housed in the barrel and interpenetrating with one another to mix the at least one active ingredient with the at least one excipient, wherein the barrel is oriented vertically and wherein the cooling member includes a sheath defining a passage for the extrudate and having at least one guide channel for guiding a cooling fluid around the passage, the extruder being placed in the clean room,
• extruding the at least one active ingredient and the at least one excipient from the extruder of the production line to form the extrudate, and
• cooling the extrudate at the outlet of the extruder.
