## Abstract

An endoscopic peripheral includes a first end of a flexible cable including at least a camera and one or more lights enclosed by a tip at the first end. The tip is tapered for insertion of a portion of the first end into a body of a patient. The endoscopic peripheral includes one or more controls interconnected with and controlling the camera and the one or more lights. A second end of the flexible cable terminates in a plug configured to physically connect the endoscopic peripheral to an electronic device. The electronic device powers the camera and the one or more lights and displays content captured by the camera. The endoscopic peripheral is plug and play when connected to the electronic device. The diameter of the diameter of the endoscopic peripheral between the first end and the second end is approximately the same.

## Claims

### Claim 1

An endoscopic peripheral, comprising:
flexible cable a first end of the flexible cable, the first end including at least a camera and one or more lights enclosed by a tip at the first end, the tip is rounded for insertion of a portion of the first end into a body of a patient;
a second end of the flexible cable terminating in a plug configured to physically connect the endoscopic peripheral to an electronic device including a display that is external to a body of a patient, the electronic device powers the camera and the one or more lights and displays content captured by the camera, wherein the endoscopic peripheral is plug-and-play when connected to the electronic device, wherein the plug-and-play complies with the Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) standard, and
wherein a diameter of the endoscopic peripheral is constant from the tip of the first end to the plug of the second end.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The endoscopic peripheral of claim 1, wherein the camera captures high definition content.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The endoscopic peripheral of claim 2, wherein the high definition content is captured by default applications of the electronic device.

### Claim 4 (depends on 2)

The endoscopic peripheral of claim 2, wherein the first end includes a flexible portion configured to bend from a first position into one or more bent positions under a minimal application of force.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The endoscopic peripheral of claim 1, wherein an angle of the camera and the one or more lights is adjustable.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The endoscopic peripheral of claim 1, further comprising:
a memory connected to the camera, the memory is configured to store the content captured by the camera for subsequent access.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)
