Apparatus, system and method of beamforming and beam tracking

A product comprising one or more tangible computer-readable non-transitory storage media comprising computer-executable instructions operable to, when executed by at least one processor, enable the at least one processor to cause a beam tracking responder to:

• process a first packet from a beam tracking initiator, the first packet from the beam tracking initiator comprising a request for receive beam tracking;
• transmit an Enhanced Directional Multi-Gigabit (DMG) (EDMG) Beam Refinement Protocol (BRP) Receive (RX)/Transmit (TX) (BRP-RX/TX) packet to the beam tracking initiator in response to the request for receive beam tracking, the EDMG BRP-RX/TX packet configured for simultaneous receive and transmit training;
• and
• process a second packet from the beam tracking initiator, the second packet from the beam tracking initiator comprising feedback from the beam tracking initiator based on the EDMG BRP-RX/TX packet.

An apparatus comprising:

• a processor comprising logic and circuitry configured to cause a beam tracking initiator to:
• transmit a first packet to a beam tracking responder, the first packet to the beam tracking responder comprising a request for receive beam tracking;
• process an Enhanced Directional Multi-Gigabit (DMG) (EDMG) Beam Refinement Protocol (BRP) Receive (RX)/Transmit (TX) (BRP-RX/TX) packet from the beam tracking responder in response to the request for receive beam tracking, the EDMG BRP-RX/TX packet configured for simultaneous receive and transmit training;
• and
• transmit a second packet to the beam tracking responder, the second packet to the beam tracking responder comprising feedback from the beam tracking initiator based on the EDMG BRP-RX/TX packet;
• and
• a memory to store information processed by the processor.

An apparatus comprising:

• means for causing a beam tracking initiator to transmit a first packet to a beam tracking responder, the first packet to the beam tracking responder comprising a request for receive beam tracking;
• means for processing an Enhanced Directional Multi-Gigabit (DMG) (EDMG) Beam Refinement Protocol (BRP) Receive (RX)/Transmit (TX) (BRP-RX/TX) packet from the beam tracking responder in response to the request for receive beam tracking, the EDMG BRP-RX/TX packet configured for simultaneous receive and transmit training;
• and
• means for causing the beam tracking initiator to transmit a second packet to the beam tracking responder, the second packet to the beam tracking responder comprising feedback from the beam tracking initiator based on the EDMG BRP-RX/TX packet.
