Abstract
According to an example aspect, there is provided an apparatus comprising at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code, with the at least one memory and the computer program code being configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to obtain information characterizing physical surroundings of the apparatus, transmit the information characterizing the physical surroundings to a network entity, and responsive to the transmission, receive provisioning information and associate the apparatus with the provisioning information

An apparatus comprising
- at least one processor;
- and
- at least one memory including computer program code;
- the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to perform:
- obtain in the apparatus, information characterizing physical surroundings of the apparatus by controlling a scanning time of the physical surroundings, wherein the scanning time depends on a preconfigured level of gathered information of the physical surroundings;
- transmit the information characterizing the physical surroundings to a network entity for associating the apparatus with a user or a user account;
- and
- receive, responsive to the transmission, provisioning information for associating the apparatus with the provisioning information, wherein the provisioning information associates the apparatus with the user or the user account.
A method comprising:
- obtaining in an apparatus, information characterizing physical surroundings of the apparatus by controlling a scanning time of the physical surroundings, wherein the scanning time depends on a preconfigured level of gathered information of the physical surroundings;
- transmitting the information characterizing the physical surroundings to a network entity for associating the apparatus with a user or a user account;
- and
- receiving responsive to the transmission, provisioning information for associating the apparatus with the provisioning information, wherein the provisioning information associates the apparatus with the user or the user account.
An apparatus comprising
- at least one processor;
- and
- at least one memory including computer program code;
- the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to perform:
- receive information characterizing physical surroundings of a device that has been obtained in accordance with a scanning time that is controlled in a manner dependent on a preconfigured level of the information gathered for the physical surroundings, wherein the information is received by the apparatus for associating the device with a user or a user account;
- transmit a notification to a user device;
- receive an authorization for the association from the user device;
- and
- transmit, responsive to the reception, by the apparatus provisioning information for associating the device with the provisioning information, wherein the provisioning information associates the apparatus with the user or the user account.
