Image data processing method

An image data processing method using an image processing device, the method comprising:

• outputting, by a high-order CPU, encoded image data associated with a moving picture;
• issuing, by the high-order CPU, an instruction associated with reproduction of the moving picture;
• decoding, by an image processing processor comprising a hardware decoder, the encoded image data associated with the moving picture on a basis of the instruction to be input;
• and
• reproducing, by a display unit, the moving picture on a basis of image data decoded by the image processing processor,
• in a case where a plurality of moving pictures are reproduced on the display unit on a basis of the instruction, combining, by the high-order CPU, respective moving pictures at a level of slices, and forming an encoded image data comprising a plurality of slices of the moving pictures by encoding the combined moving pictures as one picture, and supplying the encoded image data to the image processing processor, and decoding, by the hardware decoder, an integrated encoded image data,
• wherein the hardware decoder decodes at least two slices out of the plurality of slices simultaneously, and
• wherein the high-order CPU is configured to select the moving pictures to be combined based on a predetermined resolution in the vertical direction of the moving pictures.
