Abstract
Systems and methods for delivering a foamed fluid to a wound of a patient (e.g., through a wound dressing covering the wound and coupled to the skin around the wound).
Claims13

- a drape for securing to a skin of a patient around a wound, thereby creating a space between the wound and the drape;
- a wound filler for placement on the wound in the space between the wound and the drape;
- a vacuum source in fluid communication with the space between the wound and the drape for applying a negative pressure to that space;
- and
- a source of liquid in fluid communication with the space between the wound;
- where the wound filler comprises a foaming agent for forming a foam when liquid from the liquid source contacts the foaming agent.
