Abstract
Methods and systems for malting a granular material. Systems in accordance with various embodiments include a first tank, a second tank positioned below the first tank, and a transfer device operably positioned between the first tank and the second tank. The transfer device includes a plurality of pipes for transferring material from the first tank to the second tank.
Claims19
An autonomous malting system, the system comprising:
- a first tank that includes:
- an ingress pipe for receiving water, and
- a material inlet for receiving a granular material to be steeped in water;
- a second tank positioned below the first tank;
- and
- an autonomous transfer device operably positioned between the first tank and the second tank for transferring the steeped granular material from the first tank to the second tank, wherein the transfer device includes a plurality of pipes extending from the first tank and each pipe of the plurality entering the second tank at a different location to evenly spread the transferred steeped granular material in the second tank.
