Secondary battery, apparatus for manufacturing the same, and method of manufacturing the same

A method of manufacturing a secondary battery, the method comprising:

• locating a first region of a second separator, on two opposite surfaces of which third and fourth electrode plates are stacked, on a first region of a first separator in a stacking area such that the first region of the second separator is over the first region of the first separator along a stacking direction;
• moving a second region of the first separator, on two opposite surfaces of which first and second electrode plates are stacked in a first clamping area, from the first clamping area to the stacking area and locating the second region of the first separator on the first region of the second separator such that the second region of the first separator is over the first region of the second separator along the stacking direction;
• and
• moving a second region of the second separator, on the two opposite surfaces of which fifth and sixth electrode plates are stacked in a second clamping area, from the second clamping area to the stacking area and locating the second region of the second separator on the second region of the first separator such that the second region of the second separator is over the second region of the first separator along the stacking direction,
• wherein each of the second region of the first separator and the second region of the second separator is moved in a direction transverse to the stacking direction, and
• wherein the first separator is continuous from the first region of the first separator to the second region of the first separator, and the second separator is continuous from the first region of the second separator to the second region of the second separator.
