Abstract
An optoelectronic device has an electron transport layer, an active layer, and a hole transport layer. Each of the electron transport layer, the active layer, and the hole transport layer has quantum dots.
Claims20
An optoelectronic device comprising:
- an electron transport layer,
- an active layer, and
- a hole transport layer, wherein
- each of the electron transport layer, the active layer, and the hole transport layer comprises quantum dots,
- the quantum dots of at least one of the electron transport layer, the active layer, and the hole transport layer comprise surface attached ligands,
- the quantum dots of at least one of the electron transport layer and the hole transport layer are doped by the surface attached ligands, and
- when the quantum dots of the active layer comprise surface attached ligands, the ligands are configured to separate the quantum dots of the active layer.

Method of fabricating an optoelectronic device, comprising the steps of:
- providing a hole transport layer,
- providing an active layer, and
- providing an electron transport layer, wherein
- each of the steps of providing the hole transport layer, the active layer, and the electron transport layer comprises providing at least one layer of quantum dots,
- the quantum dots of at least one of the electron transport layer, the active layer, and the hole transport layer comprise surface attached ligands,
- the quantum dots of at least one of the electron transport layer and the hole transport layer are doped by the surface attached ligands, and
- when the quantum dots of the active layer comprise surface attached ligands, the ligands are configured to separate the quantum dots of the active layer.
