Abstract
A display device may include the following elements: a first substrate; a first polarizer; a second substrate overlapping the first substrate and overlapping the first polarizer; and a polarization structure positioned inside the second substrate, comprising a first polarization layer, and comprising a second polarization layer. The first polarization layer may be narrower than the second substrate in a first direction and may be positioned farther from or closer to the first polarizer than the second polarization layer. The second polarization layer may be narrower than the second substrate in the first direction.
Claims20
A display device comprising:
- a first substrate;
- a first polarizer;
- a second substrate overlapping the first substrate and overlapping the first polarizer;
- and
- a polarization structure positioned inside the second substrate, and comprising a first polarization layer and a second polarization layer,
- wherein the first polarization layer is narrower than the second substrate in a first direction and is positioned farther from or closer to the first polarizer than the second polarization layer, and
- wherein the second polarization layer is narrower than the second substrate in the first direction.
A method for repairing a display device, the method comprising:
- setting a polarization direction of a laser beam;
- forming a first polarization layer by irradiating the laser beam into a substrate, wherein the first polarization layer is inside the substrate and is narrower than the substrate;
- and
- forming a second polarization layer above the first polarization layer, inside the substrate, and narrower than the substrate.
