Abstract
Disclosed herein are nutraceutical compositions comprising or consisting essentially of one or more types of polyphenols (e.g., a green tea polyphenol) and one or more types of reactive oxygen species, and methods for their use to treat gastrointestinal conditions, inflammatory conditions, and immune conditions.

A nutraceutical composition for the treatment of a gastrointestinal condition consisting of a combination of polyphenols extracted from green tea and pomegranate rind and at least one reactive oxygen species, wherein the polyphenol extracts are present at a final concentration from about 0.001% to about 0.009%, wherein the at least one reactive oxygen species is hydrogen peroxide and is present at a final concentration from about 0.01%, to about 0.09%, wherein the gastrointestinal condition is diarrhea and wherein each extract comprises more than 50% polyphenols.
