A novel maize variety designated X08N791 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X08N791 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X08N791 through backcrossing or genetic transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are described. Maize variety X08N791, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X08N791 are provided. Methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X08N791 and methods of using maize variety X08N791 are disclosed.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X08N791, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH47GA with a second plant of variety PH4257, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH47GA and PH4257 have been deposited under NCMA Accession No. 202004020 and ATCC Accession No. PTA-124803 and, respectively.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X08N791 further comprising a single locus conversion, wherein a plant grown from the seed comprises a trait conferred by the single locus conversion, and wherein the seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH47GA with a second plant of variety PH4257, wherein the first plant, the second plant or both further comprise the single locus conversion, and wherein representative seed of the varieties PH47GA and PH4257 have been deposited under NCMA Accession No. 202004020 ATCC Accession No. PTA-124803 and, respectively.
A method for producing a hybrid maize variety X08N791 seed further comprising a locus conversion, the method comprising crossing a first plant of variety PH47GA with a second plant of variety PH4257, representative seed of the varieties PH47GA and PH4257 having been deposited under NCMA Accession No. 202004020 and ATCC Accession No. PTA-124803 and, respectively, wherein at least one of the varieties PH47GA and PH4257 further comprises the locus conversion.
